Would never go back there. The rainbow roll I ordered was missing the salmon and avocado, And the staff was unexcusably rude. They called the customers drunk b$tches, and yes the girls were tipsy but were polite and simply asked the staff to keep the door unlocked. Attitude from the staff plus lack of quality in the food, I give this place a solid D. In addition the price I payed for the quality and quantity of the roll was a bit high.

We came in early (6-ish) on Friday to check SS out. We were one of two tables when we got there and another table arrived after us. The waiter was attentive but unfortunately the Sushi "chef" was completely inept. He only had time to talk up a woman sitting at the bar and after 50 minutes of waiting, none of the three tables including ours had any food. All of us asked for our drink checks and left hungry. I heard the chef tell one of the upset wait staff that "it will come out when it comes out!". NOT a good first impression.

This place is awesome! Hands down my favorite sushi restaurant in Florida. Himachi Jalapeño roll, Japan Red Hot, and the A1A are def my favorites but everything is fresh and prepared very well. The atmosphere is another perk, has great music and a very lively crowd. Every time I go here I leave with new friends. It's not fast food here people and quality takes time, so enjoy the company you went with and enjoy the sushi when it's ready! P.S. Uni Shooter is a must! Enjoy

I've only ordered takeout here, so I can't comment on the wait staff or eat-in service. This place is very convenient for me and a nice change in the neighborhood from the bar food at Tarpon, Public House, and RokBrgr. Not that I don't enjoy those places, but a gal needs some change every now and then! Anyway, I've ordered takeout 4 times now and each time it was ready in 15-20 minutes. I've had 3 different rolls which were all very good, but my favorite is one of their specials which is not on the menu called the Shut Up Liz roll. Also their steamed chicken dumplings are very good. I've also had the shrimp dumplings, but I prefer the chicken. The only complaint I have is that their upcharges are very expensive. I've never been to another sushi joint that upcharges $3 just for soy paper instead of seaweed, brown rice, or for avocado. Also they charge for all sauces except soy, so if you want eel sauce or spicy mayo be prepared to pay for it. I'll definitely keep ordering from here, but I'm kind of hoping they'll rethink their upcharges, or maybe expand their menu a little bit. All in all, I'm happy to have this sushi joint in my neighborhood.

Blown away by such a tiny hidden place! The inside of the restaurant is beautifully decorated with contemporary art and some Asian designs the tables are Sapporo beer tables witch I though gave it a really cool and original touch! Also the food is amazing I just sat down and asked about the specials and the really helpful server who knew all the specials by heart recommended me some really good choices like the Spider-Man roll and the surf and turf roll and they where both super good I posted pictures of them. Over all great place and definitely be coming back!

Omg what a gem this place is! Rolls were amazing and made as soon as we ordered them. We sat at the bar so we got to see the sushi chef in the moment. Very impressed. Im an avid sushi eater so for this to pop Up downtown is amazing.

This place rocks. One of my favorite sushi places in Fort Lauderdale. Food and service is fantastic ! We came here late in Christmas and everyone was still amazing. The hamachi jalapeño roll is crazy good. Open until 4 am. Eli is the best!!

Sushi Song never misses. Great atmosphere with creative sushi chefs. From the apps to the sushi this place always has fresh and amazing food. The staff is great and very attentive. After a long night downtown it's good to enjoy some good food with your friends since they are open til 4am! Ask for Alx the sushi chef and Summer the waitress is awesome. They, along with Song make this a fun place to grab a bite to eat.

I stumbled upon this place, and found some good sushi. The specials have some twists to them. Service in the early evening was as expected, however only two tables were seated. They staff did have an issue with the shelf of the host stand.

After reading the reviews I was hesitant to come as bad service is my number one annoyance. I was externally surprised that the service was probably the best I had in a long time. As for the food that was even better than the service some of the freshest sushi I have had in a long time will definitely be making this my number one sushi place

Sushi was off the chain. Service was so awful it made bad service look good. Legit we waited while everyone had a reunion with some people that randomly walked in while we were there. When we finally got our meal 45 minutes later no one got us new drinks or anything. By the way we were one of two tables.

ZERO STARS. FIRST TIME CUSTOMER CUSTOMER SERVICE: 0 stars. I placed a phone take out order... When I entered the facility there were two AA males at the sushi bar next to the register (not eating), on there phones (looked as if they were waiting). There were NO other customers. An AA male was behind the sushi bar preparing food, a White male was standing next to him not occupied. The White male looked at me and did NOT greet me, the AA male never looked up as he was preparing food. I stood near the cash register next to to AA male customers as I placed a phone order a few minutes prior. Seconds later a White 'couple' (male with female) enter and sit at the sushi bar adjacent to the two AA males and myself. The White male chef immediately acknowledges them and begins to put on gloves. I move next to the 'couple' initiate eye contact with the White chef and ask "Did you not see me walk in?" He responded yes and I asked "Why didn't you acknowledge me?" his response is: "I didn't speak to them either" as he points to the two AA males near the register, then says "I know them", referring to the 'couple'. I tell him I placed a phone order and he says "oh you did?" Looks at a receipt then redirects his attention to the 'couple' Not much later a female comes from the kitchen and I explain the situation and ask for a manger. I am told "We don't have a manager. He is in Asia and will be back in two months", and was given a half apology as she walked away. When my food was finished (prepared by the AA chef) I asked him if the tips were shared, he said yes. I filled him in on the situation and he acted clueless. (Not sure if he spaces out while working). I tipped the AA chef who prepared my roll and as I was walking out the rude White chef yelled "have a good night". VERY CONDESCENDING. I will NOT be going back.

My husband and I came here on a really quiet Monday evening at around 5 pm and we felt like we rented the restaurant. We were the only ones there the entire time. It was sort of pleasant but also kind of awkward. The service was amazing. If I could give our waitress a 5 stars, then I would have. She was constantly filling our drinks, checking on us, making sure we were happy and even when she wasn't doing that, she cleaned or organized the restaurant. They only have a few options for alcoholic beverages. Just a few wines, lots of sake and a few beers. I just got their Cabernet and it was okay. Onto the food, we got the little gyoza appetizer and it came with 5 dumplings and it was packed with flavor, albeit a little small. The dipping sauce for the gyoza is a great blend of sweet and spicy. I loved it. The sushi was super fresh, I got some sashimi and the octopus was great, the eel was superb and the imitation crab was to be expected. I ordered the dragon roll with salmon on top and it was good but it was plain for what I normally get. Like you'd figure a dragon roll would have 4-5 ingredients inside the roll but this one just had fried shrimp and cucumber. And the rolls are a lot smaller than if you go to some other sushi restaurants. Overall, it's a cute little hole in the wall that is supposed to get super busy late at night. They are open until 4 am! The sushi is fresh and the service cares about the restaurant and its customers. The sushi is a bit smaller sized than what I am used to and not as lavish, but it's still solid.

I've had Sushi Song take-out quite a few times, but now that I've actually stopped in for a meal I feel qualified to review. As our Sunday Funday was nearing an end and all the near by bars were closing, a friend and I decided to check out Sushi Song, as really, I needed food by this point, and she wanted to enjoy some more sake (I started my drinking much earlier in the day than her lol). The best part about Sushi Song is how late it's open, yes even on a Sunday, so the place was pretty packed when we stopped in around 10:30pm. We grabbed two seats at the bar and perused the menu. I was tempted to get one of the special rolls on the board, but it had cilantro and my friend isn't a fan, so I went with a Triple roll so she could have a bite. I also ordered edamame, which I had to remind the server about since our rolls came out and we hadn't seen the edamame yet. The food itself was pretty good, and the pricing was standard (or even a little low considering the area), so I'd happily come back. And knowing that they are open til 4am!! WOW, um yeah, this so beats the standard 3am pizza that we all end up getting when downtown late night!

Best sushi place in fort Lauderdale! They are open till 4am , food is always fresh , great price for amount of food! Me and my bf most eat there at least 3 times a week , the place is very consistent. Never had anything there we didn't enjoy! But they reason that we keep coming back besides the great food is the amazing staff, they always friendly and very welcoming, no matter how late at night!! Never a bad experience a must try!

Extremely disappointed! In less than 10 minutes, we left. Ordered wine, tasted like it's been open for days. Ordered edamame, that came right out of the microwave in front of us. Hard, stiff, and light green without a snap when you bite into it. On top of the sarcastic nasty waitress, yeah we had enough! We paid for the untouched items and went around the corner to get drinks to shake off the bad vibes. Lol.

I was actually pretty disappointed in Sushi Song. My friends and I were in Downtown Ft Lauderdale and we saw how late this restaurant was open and immediately jumped to the idea of late night sushi. When we got in there, we were seated, but I didn't quite feel like our server was focusing on our orders. Multiple times he forgot to order us drinks, and then when he did, he would forget to bring them (this is while it was not busy at all). The sushi rolls seemed to be alright quality, but there wasn't really anything special going on with them. Pretty basic place. All-in-all, I guess it's a good place to go when you're out with friends, drunk and have a hankering for sushi, otherwise I wouldn't just go here on a regular dinner date. Way too many other sushi bars that offer much higher standards of service and food.

Sushi song is an excellent change of pace In the area. Located around busy bars and action packed restaurants like rock BrG and taco craft (which are all good) this place has a more relaxed and experienced atmosphere. The sushi is superb 4/5 as I am a tough grader for sushi. They have high quality fish used and the price is extremely worth it. However, the real reason i head to this place is for the uni shooter. This item comes in a shotglass of quail egg yolk, siracha, sea urchin, soy sauce, scallions and other items. It goes down in one swift slurp and catapults a variety of flavors and textures and leaves an aftertaste as a desire for more. It's my favorite sushi experience I've ever had. Service is always a 10 and feels more like a real sushi bar Id find out west or in a small asian cultured town then the American creation.

After reading some reviews about service issues I was a little weary on coming here. I'm glad I chanced it. I thought it was great. it's a tiny place with cool decor. The service we got was flawless. The food was good. The menu is lacking signature rolls. If I recall there was maybe 4 signature rolls. I got the spicy tuna and BF got the dragon. Both were tasty. We had a hot sake. They only have 1 draft beer option (sapporo). Considering you have many a choice of watering holes in the area it's not that big of an issue. And they are open till 4am! So when you are getting that late night munchy feeling you now have another alternative from pizza.

I have gone several times and the sushi is amazing. The shut up lizroll out of this world. The sauces and other food is awesome. The service is the worst in town. The chef and staff have friends come in and talk to them while you are waiting on food. We had to wait 30 minutes in a completely empty place for food, while everyone was talking to their friends at the bar. One waitress was maybe Russian? Couldn't understand our order. I've ordered to go twice. Waited 20 minutes drove 10 to get there and food wasn't ready when I arrived. Again the place had maybe two tables eating. I hate when a place has amazing food and awful service. They could be so much better if they just got the food out its sushi come on. I will prob go again because the food is ridiculous but I feel like I am rewarding incompetence.

Was surprised to see the low rating; however, it all appears to be related to the service side of things and mostly around the time they first opened. I would that has improved, and I haven't had a bad experience, although it's been mostly take-out. As far as the good, this is probably the best quality sushi I've had. I'm primarily a sashimi eater (tuna, salmon, yellowfin, white, etc). You can really tell a quality of the fish and food when you eat it raw and their fish is excellent. The salmon just melts in your mouth. That being said, I've had a couple of their rolls as well and have been amazed. I'm usually not a fan of spicy tuna rolls, but I had some sort of spicy shrimp tempura roll that was absolutely killer. Also, they had a sashimi taco on the specials menu: tuna sashimi, avacado, red onion (some other stuff) and a sauce. Thought I wouldn't really like it because I'm not a huge avacado fan but I could have put down 3 or 4 of them. That all being said, you pay for what you get it. Good sushi isn't cheap, so it's to be expected. It's a cool little place and they're open until 4am. Downtown FTL has a lot of turnover with their businesses but I hope this place sticks around.

Solid little sushi joint near Riverwalk. I got there just as they were opening and the greeted me with a smile. Service was good and friendly. I had a jalapeño rolls with yellow tail on top that was good. The sushi was cut a bit thin for my liking bit overall the roll was tasty.I'd go back here again

Service could have been faster but sushi was great. Server was friendly but a little absent minded. I would come again and recommend to friends since they just opened and are still working out the kinks.
